This is the 2nd attempt at our foiling (19-08) event due to no wind first time round. This time we have tonnes of wind and a good event.
Another amazing kite night. A big thank you to Christine from Kite, Sup & Surf Co. for sharing your knowledge about the safe kiting, and Stav for explaining the rules on Lancing beach. Was really nice to see so many people turn up and hopefully have gained more knowledge. Some interesting discussions on kite safety were covered.
Was great to see You all, see You next Thursday.
Have a great weekend all. 📸Eunice Bergin
Our first kite night was great, lovely time on the water and land as well. We foiled until there was no wind, ate until there wasn’t a burger on the grill. Amazing sunset. Thank’s everyone for coming and a HUGE THANK YOU to Rob and Danny from Progression for being there helping everyone and giving lots of tips.
We have just installed a live web-cam so you can check out the beach before heading down. Thanks to streamdays.com for helping getting the stream up and running. Unfortunately if you are on Android Phone, the stream does not play on the default browser. So you will need to install FireFox browser from the play store.
The camera is current in Shoreham, but will move up to Lancing once we sort out it new home.
The easiest way to join is when you join the BKSA each year, it is only £5 per year (BKSA give the club an additional £5) so we get £10!.
Alternatively – if you have your own 3rd party insurance you can join for £10 using the button below.
On the 28th & 29 April we are pleased to annouced a Foiling competition and demo day. Racing will hosted directly outside of Perch Cafe and a midday high tide will make for excellent viewing.
Benjamin Vernieres, Olly Lawrence and Duncan Hague became Wind Farm Warriors, making it out and back to Rampion in record time!
Obviously this excursion was well planned, exclusion zones had been reviewed and were always observed, the tides and forecasts confirmed and there was a thorough safety briefing between riders and the safety boat which accompanied the kiters for the whole trip.
Special thanks to Eunice Bergin for the pictures and of course Alexander Hole of the Perch on Lancing Beach for safety boat support!
We are really pleased to have installed new signage at Lancing. This has taken a huge amount of effort to get to this point. Collecting all the information, design and manufacture.
Thanks to Lancing Parish Council for there continued support for kitesurfing, and everybody else who made a huge contribution.
