After the successful open event last year, we are hosting another twin tip and race board event. We will be holding a number of races through the day, and each category should get at least a couple of races. Twin tips and surfboards will race together. Free-race and Box Class will race together. There are medal’s and will declare winners and runner ups in each of the 4 category. This is all about getting involved, and enjoying the thrill of speed and close proximity kiting. We will probably run a couple of different courses, out and back [ reach ], and a upwind course too. We will decide if the event is happening on Friday afternoon; on the 25/7. Low tide is 18:25, so lets hope for thermal top for some extra wind! Entry is £5, and will be refunded if the event is called off. Please register for the event with the button below.

Paddle Round The Pier invited LKSC to host a community stand this year and with the help of the Brighton Kite Academy, BN1 Kitesurfing, Evolution Kites and Snow Camp aka Big Charity Downwinder we just about managed it.
We really appreciated all the help we received from members who came to help run the stand; special thanks to Andrina Kelly and David Funnel who both put in long stints both days. Our resident artist Alberto for painting us a big sign for the stand, Gary Levett for providing some brilliant prints to exhibit kiting at Lancing and finally Lancing Parish Council for providing us with some tables.
It was a really great opportunity for members of the none kitesurfing general public to chat to us and get a better appreciation of the sport, hazards and understanding of the equipment we use. It was also really great to meet kiters out of their natural habitat – we didn’t always recognise people without their wetsuits.

We are really pleased to have Danny Morrice our local RRD pro rider giving our members a surf clinic. He recently place 5th in the PKRA Dahkla, Morocco. Danny isnt an instructor, and this isnt a lesson. This is your opportunity to have a session on the water while he gives you tips and trips to get more from riding a surfboard.
Clinic will be on the 13th. We will decide if the event will run on the 12th. Full refunds will be given automatically if the event doesn’t run.
You must be a LKSC member with current BKSA membership.
This is limited to 10 places
You must be a competent kitesurfer, ideally you have experience of riding a surfboard and are looking to get more
The clinic costs £10.
